Documents required for Ireland Visa

  1. Forms: Ireland Visa form is an online form. (We will provide you one sample form in which we will require all details to be filled up from your side, we will keep this form as a base & complete online application & will send you final form for signature)

    Note: for Minor applicants, visa form & other supporting forms should be signed by both parents along with Signature or Thumb impression of Minor applicant as appearing on his/her passport.
  2. Passport: Original Passport as well as all old passports

    Please note passport must fulfill all below conditions

    • Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the Embassy.
    • Hand written passport is strictly not allowed
    • Indian passports with any “observation” will not be accepted.
    • Passport should have minimum 2 blank pages & should be valid for a period of 6 months from the date of travel
    • Copy of previous passports & visa issued & copy of all pages of current passport is required.
  3. Photographs: Four recent colored photographs of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm white background with matt or semi matt finish with 80?cecoverage, white background and without border. (Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas)
  4. Covering Letter: Original Covering Letter from applicant stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of the visit, duly signed by him (Employed applicants should print it on Normal A4 Paper and Self Employed/Businessman should print it on their letterhead with seal (Rubber stamp) & sign)
  5. Important Documents:
    • A. Financial Documents:
      • If Employed :
        • Personal Income Tax Returns OR Form 16 for last 3 Assessment years
        • Last 3 months’ salary slips
        • Original Personal Saving Bank Account Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number, Applicant’s Name and Account No. clearly on Bank letterhead with seal & sign of Bank officer with minimum closing balance of Rs 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 per person (Sudden deposit of money is not allowed), statement should be updated at least 15 days prior to submission date.
        • Leave sanction letter on Employer’s Letterhead with seal & sign
        • Any additional investments like Fixed Deposit receipts, Public provident fund passbook copy, Share DMAT A/c statement, Mutual fund statement etc. (Required only if bank balance is less)
      • If Self-employed Professional / Businessman
        • Personal Income Tax returns for last 3 years
        • Company Income Tax returns for las 3 years (If filed separately)
        • Original Personal Saving Bank Account Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number, Applicant’s Name and Account No. clearly on Bank letterhead with seal & sign of Bank officer with minimum closing balance of Rs 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 per person (Sudden deposit of money is not allowed), statement should be updated at least 15 days prior to submission date.
        • Original Company Current Bank Account Statement for last 3 months mentioning the Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number, Applicant’s Name and Account No. clearly on Bank letterhead with seal & sign of Bank officer with minimum closing balance of Rs 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 per person (Sudden deposit of money is not allowed), statement should be updated at least 15 days prior to submission date. OR If Current A/c statement is very bulky then you can provide Original Balance confirmation letter on Bank letterhead with seal & sign
        • Any additional investments like Fixed Deposit receipts, Public provident fund passbook copy, Share DMAT A/c statement, Mutual fund statement etc. (Required only if bank balance is less)
    • B. Proof of occupation:
      • If Employed :
        • Visiting card & Employee Id card copy
      • If Self-employed Professional / Businessman
        • Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation
        • Memorandum of Association (Incase the applicant is MD/Director)
        • Proof of Proprietorship / Partnership (In case applicant is Proprietor / Partner in a firm)
        • Import / Export License (if applicable)
        • Visiting card
      • If Student
        • Student ID Card copy
        • Leave sanction letter on school or college letterhead with seal & sign
        • If Minor student is travelling alone or only with one parent then No objection certificate is required on Rs 100 stamp paper from Non accompanying parent, attested by Notary Public along with their signature id proof like passport copy OR PAN Card copy
        • Copy of Birth Certificate of Minor child & Marriage Certificate copy of parents is required.
      • If Retired
        • Copy of Retirement letter/reliving letter
        • Copy of pension book if any

      • Day wise Itinerary

      • Airline booking confirmation OR Ticket copy

FAQ of Ireland Visas

1. For Ireland Visa is it necessary to go personally for Visa submission OR can any agent or representative can submit on my behalf?

For Ireland VISA, Personal Visit to VFS Center is mandatory. Personal Biometrics has been made compulsory for each applicant, each applicant has to appear in person at VFS Center for Biometrics i.e. to capture his/her Finger prints & Photo with prior appointments & hence Passenger has to appear in person.

2. If I had been issued Ireland Visa earlier still, is it necessary to go for Biometrics again this time as well?

For Ireland visa every time you do a fresh application (Apply for a Visa), it is necessary for applicant to do a Biometrics every time (Simply because you have done Biometrics prior, that does not give you a relief for Biometrics for your current application)

3. Whether Biometrics is necessary for children as well?

For children below 5 years, Biometrics is not required.

4. What is the processing time for Ireland Visa?

Standard processing time for Ireland visa is 15 Working days excluding Saturday and Sundays & day of Biometrics.

5. How many days before I can apply for Ireland visa?

One can apply for Ireland Visa maximum 3 months prior to travel date.

6. Where Ireland Embassy is located? or Where I need to go for Biometrics?

There is only one Ireland Embassy, which is located in New Delhi which issues visas for all PAN India applicants, but VFS Centers are located in many states across the country, you can visit to any nearby VFS Center from your residence/Office.

8. What is the process for collecting passports after the decision has been taken on application?

Here the Applicant has 2 options for collection of passport as below
i) Counter Collection – Applicant can collect the passport by visiting personally to VFS Center where he has submitted his application
ii) Courier Collection – Applicant can opt for Courier facility for delivering his passport at his desired address i.e. either Residence or Office

9. What is BIVS Scheme?

BIVS Scheme is known as British Irish Visa Scheme, where some eligible visa categories issued by either UK or Ireland will allow holder to travel to both countries without a need of having a separate visa for another country. Under this scheme Holder of Irish visa, will not have to take separate Transit visa for UK, if he is transiting through UK as a part of his onward journey to Ireland.
Under this scheme, Applicant will have to travel to country which has issued visa first & then he can can travel to another country.
